Keeping Up with the Toronto Women’s Race Events

Toronto Women's Race EventsFor those that are just taking an interest in race events that they can participate in, one of the best places to start is by looking at the venue of the Toronto Women’s Runs Series events. These are a series of races that include half and 5K, 10K and 5K, as well as 8K and 5K. This gives you a great selection for your entry start into women’s racing. If you participate in the 10k it will allow you to test your stamina if you are attempting to reach a half or full marathon goal.

It is important to keep in mind that the focus here is on building your racing skills and stamina and not so much that you are expected to come in first.

Often the group of racers that participate are at different levels ranging from highly skilled athletes down to the casual walker. Aside from testing your fitness level these races create a great social platform for the good of all. The races are manned with a firefighter water station as well as participants receive a high quality tech shirt and a finisher’s medal. The race size ranges between 500 to 1000 and the course is comprised of road running. If you start your participation at the beginning of the season and run all three of the Toronto Women’s Races you can expect a special award at the completion of the season.

The season began in May and wraps up in October. The next race coming up is on Saturday, August 27, 2016 which is the 10K/5K run, that starts out from Sunnybrook Park in Toronto. These races are a mix of having a great deal of fun as well as a wonderful opportunity to socialize and also to display your competitive spirit. These races are presented a by Good Life Fitness For Women and they support the charity of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario. The goal for the 2016 year is to raise over $40,000.
